The number of children dying from road accidents every year is 18,000, which is 8% of the total number of road accident fatalities. In 2007, the rate of children dying from road accidents was 2.3 per 10,000, which is higher than the OECD average of 1.9 by 20%. Since 2010, MOBIS has conducted the campaign of “sharing an umbrella for children’s transportation safety” for elementary school students nationwide under a slogan of putting “Kids First,” helping establish a foundation for the protection of children from road accidents with the support of the Land and Maritime Affairs Committee and the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.

Since MOBIS established a sisterhood relationship with Deongnyeon-ri of Chungju city in September 2006, the ‘One to One’ Rural Community Support has spread out nationwide. MOBIS’ employees pitch in during busy farming season, and in the other hand, for villagers during off seasons we offer field trips to our business facilities and research institutes.
